June 15th marks one of the most important days in 2024. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the international students who are about to graduate in the class of 2024. This year, two students will graduate from the International Master's Program in Telecommunication Engineering(IMPTE). Jibril, a MOFA scholarship recipient from Somaliland, came to Taiwan to study after completing a year of Mandarin language learning. He then pursued his master's degree at National Sun Yat-sen University. Tri, a shy young woman from Indonesia, is very talented in drawing. Despite the challenges of being a new mother, she has worked hard to meet the requirements of her academic advisor.

     The Institute of Communications Engineering also celebrates three outstanding Ph.D. graduates from India. Sonia, a fan of Taylor Swift and K-pop, had her father travel from India to Taiwan to attend her graduation ceremony. Prajwalita, a quiet student with a passion for plants, left me an impression of the beautiful orchid she kept in the lab. Sravani, an enthusiastic dancer and ambassador of Indian culture, captivated us with her Indian dance. During the graduation week, Sravani was attending a conference with her professor in the United States.

     It has been a pleasure to meet all of you at National Sun Yat-sen University. Watching you walk across the stage to receive your diplomas, with proud and happy smiles on your faces, I know that you are not only celebrating the completion of your studies but also the beginning of a new chapter in life. Congratulations to the class of 2024! Hope you find the courage to make your life a blessing.
