Step 1 Check Your Eligibility
1. Meet the basic graduation requirement
(1) Course work : Complete 24 credits that is 8 master's courses. Among them, at least 3 courses must come from the IMPTE course list. Only two"Independent Studies / Special Topics", only one course on"English Technical Writing and related topics", and 2 courses lectured in Mandarin are allowed to be counted in fulfilling graduation requirements.

| Bachelar Program Courses | The credits you get from the Bachelar Program courses cannot be counted in the graduation credits. |
(2) Online ethics course : This online course is for learning and training to be applicable to college and master students, teachers, and researchers. All IMPTE students need to attend courses and get the certificate.
2. Obtain the Advisor’s Approval
Discuss your thesis topic and the feasibility of your current research plan with your advisor.
3. Compose the Thesis
(1) Compose your thesis, take the initiative in meeting with your advisor, and get his/her feedback on your thesis. Once both you and your advisor are satisfied with your thesis, you can move on to the next stage of your thesis defense.
(2) Please refer to the regulations below and complete thesis in accordance with the format.

4. Run Thesis Draft Through the Turnitin Plagiarism Check
(1) Turnitin Plagiarism Checker System
** for IMPTE students only**
To enroll a student into the system. We need to enter a first name, last name, and an email address.
** Please provide the following information email to IMPTE office ( mpteaa@mail.nsysu.edu.tw ) to apply for the Turnitin account. **

** If the student already has a Turnitin user profile, the system will be notified and enrolled in the class immediately. If they do not have a profile, the system will create one and send them an email notification with a temporary password. Your account must be activated within 24 hours of receiving the system mail.
(2) Run through the Turnitin Plagiarism Checker system to obtain a report. According to NSYSU's regulation, the thesis originality comparison index should not exceed 12% excluding introductions, references, catalogs, attachments, etc. If the report shows a plagiarism index higher than 12%, talk to your adviser about fixing the problems.
** Students may need to revise the thesis after the defense. If the score of the final version thesis is higher than 12%, the advisor have to write the specific causes and sign it on the Turnitin report. Then, students can upload it to the library.
