The 2022 Fourier Cup experience

        Play to win, but enjoy the fun! We all gathered to play our first game of the Fourier cup tournament 2022, It was a sunny Saturday morning, and every member of the team strikers was warming up on the ground with full enthusiasm and energy. We knew the previous two practice sessions were not enough to fully train beginners like us to win the tournament but it made all of us love this game so much that none of us wanted to miss playing the tournament. Softball was a new game for so many of us, especially the international students including me. Though no one could have said upon seeing our tournament match that until 2 weeks ago most of our team members were not familiar with how to hold a bat. So many thanks to fellow students, who were regular players of the game and got us familiar with the rules and basics.

        During the three weeks from the practice sessions to the tournament, the excitement and energy were different in every one of us. We waited for the clock to strike at 4:00 PM on the practice days so that we can hit the ground and showcase our skills. The boys including me were more interested in flexing our masculine power by hitting the ball as far as we can, though we failed to do it when it mattered the most in the tournament match. We played the best we can, with some very good hits, good catches, and good pitching. We did not win the games though I am sure we did win the hearts of the people. The best moments of the match were those when the opponent players also appreciated us for our efforts. The 2022 Fourier cup experience is something very special we all will remember for a very long time, we will remember the friends we made, the fun we had. More than our performance or results of the games we cherish the fun and the new friends we made over anything.
